PENDAMPINGAN PASIEN TUBERKULOSIS RESISTAN OBAT DI WILAYAH KERJA KOMUNITAS MASYARAKAT SEHAT SRIWIJAYA KOTA PALEMBANG
Tuberculosis is still a major health problem in the world. Palembang City is an area in South Sumatra Province that has the highest cases of tuberculosis, including Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis. In 2023, there were 96 cases of RO TB in Palembang City and an increase in 2024 to 106 cases. To support the success of controlling RO TB, one of the strategies listed in Presidential Decree No. 67 of 2021 concerning the control of tuberculosis is the role of community assistance. This study aims to analyze the assistance of Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis patients in the work area of the Sriwijaya Healthy Community in Palembang City. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection through in-depth interviews with 12 informants, observation and document review. Data analysis uses a content analysis model which includes the stages of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of the study are that the Healthy Community of Sriwijaya Community in Palembang City has provided information support in the form of information and education to patients and their families, emotional support in the form of pre-treatment counseling and encouragement and motivation by reminding patients, assessment support in the form of monthly treatment monitoring, instrumental support in the form of providing enabler funds, providing basic necessities, providing shelters, and protection from stigma and discrimination in the form of providing socialization and coordinating with local legal institutions. In conclusion, the MSS community has provided information support, emotional support, assessment support, instrumental support, and protection from stigma and discrimination to RO TB patients well and in accordance with the technical guidelines for accompanying RO TB patients by the community. The suggestion in this study is to further improve coordination between the MSS community and the Health Office regarding the status of RO TB patient treatment.
