Solar Power Plants (PLTS) are one of the renewable energy solutions that can be used to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. However, rooftop PLTS systems have limitations in energy storage, which causes unstable power supply, especially at night or in cloudy weather. Therefore, this study aims to increase the power supply capacity of rooftop PLTS by increasing the number of VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) batteries from 2 units of 100 Ah to 4 units of 100 Ah, and analyzing their impact on charging and discharging efficiency. The research method used is direct measurement of voltage, current, and State of Charge (SOC) parameters using the Solar Guardian application. Measurements were carried out for two periods, namely when using 2 VRLA batteries and after increasing the capacity to 4 VRLA batteries, with a fixed load of 350 watts. The data collected included full charging time, maximum current, maximum voltage, voltage stability, and duration of power supply during the discharge process. The results showed that increasing battery capacity increased energy storage efficiency and power supply stability. The full charging time for the 2 VRLA battery configuration is ±5 hours, while for the 4 VRLA battery configuration it is only ±4 hours. In addition, the power supply lasts longer, from ±6 hours with 2 batteries to ±10 hours with 4 batteries. The system voltage is also more stable in the 4 batteries configuration, reducing the voltage that can affect the performance of electrical devices. Thus, it can be concluded that the addition of VRLA battery capacity from 2 to 4 units significantly improves the performance of the rooftop solar PV system, especially in terms of charging efficiency, voltage stability, and power supply duration. This improvement makes the Rooftop Solar PV more reliable and sustainable as an alternative source of electrical energy. Key Words – rooftop solar PV, VRLA batteries, power supply capacity, energy storage efficiency, Solar Guardian
