EFEKTIVITAS PESTISIDA NABATI EKSTRAKSI BIJI NIMBA (Azadirachta indica), BIJI LERAK (Sapindus rarak), DAN BIJI ASAM KERANJI (Dialium indum) TERHADAP KUTUDAUN (Aphis gossypii) PADA PERTANAMAN CABAI (Capsicum annuum L.)
One of the problematic factors in cultivating chili plants is aphids. So far, farmers have controlled them using chemical pesticides. The use of chemical pesticides becomes a problem if it is done continuously. This study aimed to determinne the effectiveness of the use of botanical pesticides extracted from keranji seeds, soap nut seeds, and neem seeds in controlling insect pests in chili plants. This study was conducted in Tanjung Pering village, North Indaralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The method used in this study was a Randomized Block Completely Design (RCBD) with 4 treatments, namely no treatment (control), keranji seed extraction, soapberry seed extraction, and neem seed extraction, each treatment repeated 3 times. Observation data analyzed by further testing HSD 5% showed that the active ingredients of botanical pesticides were effective in suppressing the population of Aphis gossypii in chilli plants. It was concluded that the use of active ingredients of botanical pesticides can maximize harvest yields and reduce losses due to aphids pests.
