UJI DAYA ANTIOKSIDAN EKSTRAK DAN FRAKSI-FRAKSI PADA TANAMAN PALIASA (Kleinhovia hospital L.) DENGAN METODE DPPH
Paliasa (Kleinhovia hospita L.) belongs to Malvaceae family with high potential as a medicinal plant because it contains flavonoids, tannins, saponins, steroids and phenolic compounds. This study aims to measure total phenolic content and antioxidant power in extracts and fractions of stem bark, leaves, and root bark of Paliasa and the correlation between antioxidant and total phenolic. Testing the total phenolic content with Folin-ciocalteu method used KTFe value parameter to show the amount of phenolic in a sample. Antioxidant power test with DPPH method used IC50 parameter to show the amount of antioxidant contained. The results of the study of total phenolic content obtained the largest to smallest phenolic content in a row is F.EA Root bark, Root bark extract, F.EA stem bark, Stem bark extract, F.E root bark, F.EA leaf, F.E leaf, F.NH leaf, F.NH root bark, F.NH stem bark. The largest KTFe results were in the ethyl acetate fraction sample of Paliasa Root Bark with a KTFe value of 163.236 ± 0.917 mgGAE/g. The results of antioxidant power test in this study were obtained in the ethyl acetate fraction sample of Paliasa Root Bark with an IC50 value of 57.4915ppm and the extract sample of Paliasa root bark with an IC50 value of 88.694ppm including a strong antioxidant category. These results can confirm that there is antioxidant power in each part of the plant, the best antioxidant with a strong category is in the solvent sample ethyl acetate fraction and ethanol extract of paliasa root bark and the correlation between antioxidant power and total phenolic where the greater the antioxidant power the greater the total phenolic content in the sample.
