KOMPOSISI IKAN DI SUNGAI KELEKAR BAGIAN HILIR KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
Kelekar River is one of the tributaries of the Ogan River which has significant freshwater fisheries potential. However, community activities around the downstream part of the Kelekar River can affect the composition of fish living in these waters. This study aims to evaluate changes in fish composition in the downstream part of the Kelekar River, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The method used in this study was a field survey with a purposive sampling m technique at three research stations. Data were collected through fish sampling using various fishing gear and analysis of water physicochemical parameters. The results showed that the composition of fish decreased compared to previous studies, with a total of 11 species from 6 families found. The Cyprinidae family dominates with a percentage of 55%. Factors contributing to this change include the time of fishing, the type of fishing gear used, and the fishing seasons.
