JENIS JENIS IKAN DI SUNGAI KELEKAR BAGIAN HULU KOTA PRABUMULIH PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
The Kelekar River is one of the important freshwater ecosystems in South Sumatra Province. It is located in the upstream area of Prabumulih City, South Sumatra Province, in a natural environment close to residential areas. This study aims to evaluate the fish species found in the upstream section of the Kelekar River compared to previous research findings.The research method used was direct observation with a purposive sampling technique at three research stations: Muara Dua Subdistrict, Gunung Ibul Subdistrict, and Sindur Subdistrict. Fish samples were collected using various fishing gear, including cast nets, fishing rods, umbrella traps, scoop nets, and fish traps.The results of the study showed a total of 62 individual fish, comprising 9 species from 4 orders and 6 families. The Cyprinidae family was the most dominant group, consisting of 4 species, with Rasbora dusonensis being the most abundant, accounting for 13 individuals.
