IDENTIFIKASI FAKTOR RISIKO KEJADIAN STUNTING PADA BALITA USIA 24-59 BULAN DI KOTA PALEMBANG TAHUN 2024
The reduction of stunting rates is one of the goals of sustainable development. The Indonesian Health Survey (SKI) reported that the prevalence of stunting in South Sumatra Province increased by 1.7% in 2023, from 18,6% to 20.3%. Children experiencing stunting are at risk of developing behavioral disorders in early life. This study aims to identify factors associated with stunting in children aged 24–59 months in Palembang City. It is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design, utilizing secondary data from the research titled "Development of a Family Model for Stunting Prevention in Palembang City." Total of 108 samples were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The study employs Chi-Square and Multiple Logistic Regression tests. The results indicate no significant relationship between stunting and maternal age at first pregnancy, education, employment status, parental income, history of exclusive breastfeeding, parity, birth spacing, sanitation, or history of infectious diseases. However, birth spacing and parity were identified as confounding variables in this study. Birth spacing is the most significant risk factor, with a PR of 2.56.
