Land use changes in flood discharge at KM 12 Palembang City between 2018 and 2023. analyzed using land use map data, while flood discharge was calculated using the Rational method based on maximum rainfall and flow coefficient. The results showed an increase in the area of water bodies by 51.174% and a decrease in open land by 49.629% in the last five years. Despite significant changes in land use, flood discharge decreased by 0.206% for all return periods (2, 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 years). This study concludes that increasing water bodies such as retention ponds contributes to reducing flood discharge. It is recommended that further research use more complex hydrological modeling such as HEC-HMS.
