ANALISIS REGRESI DATA PANEL TERHADAP TINGKAT KEJAHATAN DI PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN PADA MASA PANDEMI (STUDI KASUS KABUPATEN/KOTA SUMATERA SELATAN PERIODE 2020 - 2022)
Crime is an action that can threaten the sense of security in social life. Crime cases in South Sumatra Province in 2020 to 2022 increased, and during this period Indonesia experienced a pandemic. This research aims to examine the factors that influence crime rates in South Sumatra Province during the pandemic using panel data regression. Panel data regression is a regression that combines time series and cross data. The factors observed include the percentage of poor people, open unemployment rate, Gini ratio, Human Development Index (HDI), and the percentage of households receiving non-cash food assistance. The results of this study show that in the individual FEM model, the variables' percentage of poor population and HDI partially have a significant positive influence on crime rates. The model obtained is Ŷit = γ̂i − 34.93 + 0.19X1it + 0.03X2it − 2.05X3it + 0.49X4it + 0.01X5it with a Adj-R2 of 88.5% and MAPE of 19.9%. Thus, the model obtained can be considered good at regressing and predicting crime rates in South Sumatra Province.
