ANALISIS HUBUNGAN ANTARA MANAJEMEN PELATIHAN DAN KETERAMPILAN TERHADAP KINERJA PEKERJA TAMBANG DI PT SEMEN BATURAJA (PERSERO) TBK
ANALYSIS OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TRAINING MANAGEMENT AND SKILLS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF MINING WORKERS AT PT SEMEN BATURAJA (PERSERO) TBK Scientific paper in the form of a Thesis Proposal, December 2024 Rizal Fahmi: Supervised by Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Eddy Ibrahim, M.S., CP., IPU, ASEAN. Eng., APEC. Eng and Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Maulana Yusuf, M.S., M.T. xvi + 58 pages, 12 pictures, 4 table, 4 appendixes SUMMARY This research is motivated by the critical importance of human resource (HR) management in the mining sector to support the sustainability of the national cement industry. PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) faces challenges in improving the performance of its mining workers through effective training programs. The study aims to analyze the implementation of training management, its correlation with worker performance, and the obstacles in the self-development of SMBR’s mining workers. The theoretical framework encompasses the concepts of soft skills and hard skills, HR training management in mining, and their impact on worker performance. Previous studies indicate that training and skills significantly contribute to improving productivity and work efficiency. The research framework connects training, skills, and mining worker performance. This study employs both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and document reviews. Direct interviews were conducted with eight respondents, consisting of mining HR personnel and SMBR management. Data collection was carried out using triangulation methods (observations, interviews, and document reviews). The collected data were analyzed using content analysis based on Lichtman's 3C’s model (Lichtman, 2006). Statistical analysis involved chi-square tests to measure the correlation between training, skills, and performance variables. The findings reveal that SMBR's training programs, such as POP, POM, and POU operational training, surveying courses, class II blasting certifications, safety training (K3), drone piloting, mining software training, and others, significantly impact worker performance. Correlation analysis demonstrated a positive relationship between training management and the improvement of mining HR performance. The study concludes that training management and skill development play a pivotal role in enhancing mining workers' performance at SMBR. It recommends improvements in training design, increased participant capacity, and the adjustment of training methods to align with individual worker needs and the company’s operational goals. Keywords: management, training, soft skills, hard skills, worker performance
