ANALISIS HASIL SINTESIS NANOSILIKA BERBAHAN DASAR FLY ASH MENGGUNAKAN METODE HIDROTERMAL DENGAN VARIASI SUHU PERENDAMAN
Fly ash is a by-product of coal combustion that contains silica and has the potential to be utilized as a raw material for nanosilica. This study aims to synthesize nanosilica from fly ash using the hydrothermal method with variations in soaking temperatures of 70°C, 75°C, and 80°C. The synthesis process includes pretreatment with HCl and NaOH solutions, immersion in an ultrasonic cleaner, and heating in a hydrothermal autoclave reactor. Characterization was carried out using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The results showed that increasing the soaking temperature affects the particle size, crystallinity, and morphology of the synthesized nanosilica. XRD analysis indicated that higher soaking temperatures produced smaller crystal sizes and increased the amorphous phase. The highest silica content, 53.411%, was obtained at a soaking temperature of 75°C based on XRF analysis. SEM observations confirmed changes in particle morphology with variations in soaking temperature. Overall, a soaking temperature of 75°C resulted in nanosilica with the best quality in terms of purity and particle morphology.
