PENGARUH TERAPI WARNA (CHROMOTHERAPY) TERHADAP PERUBAHAN TINGKAT KECEMASAN AKADEMIK REMAJA DI SMP NURUL QURAN TANJUNG ENIM
Anxiety that usually occurs in adolescents who are currently students is academic anxiety. Academic anxiety as a feeling of tension and fear of something that will happen and interfere with carrying out various tasks and activities in academic situations. Color therapy (chromotherapy) is a therapy based on the fact that each specific color contains healing energy that can restore emotions overwhelmed by anxiety and fear and release tension, so that individuals also feel more relaxed and calm in carrying out their activities without being overwhelmed by excessive feelings of anxiety. This study aims to determine the effect chromotherapy on changes in academic anxiety levels in adolescents at Nurul Quran Tanjung Enim Junior High School. This quantitative research uses a pre-experimental design and one group pre-test post-test design with a total of 35 respondents taken by total sampling technique or saturated sample. The instrument used in the study was the Cassady questionnaire. Data were collected and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test with value interpretation (α = 0.05). The results showed a value of p = 0.000 which indicated a significant influence on color therapy intervention on changes in academic anxiety levels in adolescents. The application of green breathing techniques and color meditation in this therapy is effective in restoring emotions, bringing a sense of calm, and refreshing the nervous system to respondents. Therefore, counseling guidance teachers can apply color therapy interventions (chromotherapy) as an effort to reduce the level of academic anxiety in adolescents in an ongoing manner.
