STUDI EKOLOGI INTERVENSI GIZI SPESIFIK DALAM UPAYA PENURUNAN STUNTING DI KABUPATEN LAHAT TAHUN 2023
Lahat District succeeded in reducing the stunting rate from 22.4% in 2021 to 7.8% in 2023, making it the region with the highest stunting reduction in South Sumatra. This study aims to describe the status of stunting incidence and the achievement of specific nutrition intervention indicators against health centre coverage based on health centre working areas in Lahat Regency in 2023. This study used an ecological design with a quantitative approach to analyse secondary data from the Lahat District Health Office. The data were then processed using Geographic Information Systems to map the distribution of stunting prevalence, 9 specific nutrition interventions, and health centre coverage. Out of a total of 33 health centres in Lahat, 25 health centres were categorised as having a very low stunting prevalence with the lowest achievement by Simpang III Pomo (0.13%). Meanwhile, 8 other health centres were categorised as having a low stunting prevalence with the highest achievement by Senabing (7.92%). The achievement of specific nutrition intervention indicators such as consumption of blood supplement tablets for adolescent girls and pregnant women, supplementary feeding for pregnant women with high blood pressure and undernourished children under five, exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding, monitoring of growth and development of children under five, malnourished children receiving first-time care, and complete basic immunisation indicate that the area has stunting cases and the reach of health centres does not always support the achievement and prevalence of stunting. Innovative interventions, staff strengthening, and system synergy are needed to effectively reduce stunting.
