PENGARUH TERPAAN TAYANGAN CLASH OF CHAMPION BY RUANG GURU TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA (STUDI PADA SISWA KELAS XI SMAN 18 KOTA PALEMBANG )
This research was motivated by the emergence of the reality educational show Clash of Champions by Ruangguru which caused quite a stir in the community, especially among students at SMAN 18 Palembang who were already familiar with the Olympics from Ruangguru. This research aims to find out whether there is an influence from the Clash of Champions broadcast on the learning motivation of students at SMAN 18 Palembang and what the magnitude of the influence is. Exposure to Impressions as an X Variable was initiated by Karl E Rosengern (1974). There are 3 dimensions, namely Frequency, Duration and Attention. Meanwhile, learning motivation as a Y variable explained by Hamzah B Uno (2013) consists of 2 dimensions including Intrinsic Motivation and Extrinsic Motivation. This research used a quantitative approach and distributed questionnaires to 223 respondents by collecting samples using the Total Sampling technique. The data obtained was then analyzed using a simple linear regression method with the help of software (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) SPSS Version 28. The results of this study showed that there was a significant influence of exposure to broadcasts on learning motivation with a calculated T value of 11.724 and a significance of 0.001. And the R square value is 0.383, meaning that 38.3% of learning motivation is influenced by exposure to broadcasts and the other 61.7% is explained by other factors outside this research.
