HUBUNGAN KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL DENGAN BURNOUT PADA PEGAWAI FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA KAMPUS PALEMBANG
Background: Organizational stress can have a major impact not only on employees but also on organizations. Prolonged stress can develop into burnout, which is a phenomenon that has increased over the past two to three decades. Burnout is a condition of continuous stress with high intensity that makes a person experience physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion. To prevent and reduce the risk of burnout among employees, adequate emotional intelligence capacity is needed. emotional intelligence as a collection of non-cognitive abilities, competencies and skills (intrapersonal, interpersonal, stress management) that can affect an individual's ability to manage environmental demands. Methods: This study is an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional study design. The research sample was all employees of the faculty of medicine, Sriwijaya University, Palembang Campus who met the inclusion criteria. Data were taken from questionnaires distributed directly and processed using SPSS version 29.
