ANALISIS IMPLEMENTASI SANITASI LINGKUNGAN DI PASAR KAMBOJA PALEMBANG
Pasar Kamboja, a bustling traditional market in Palembang, requires environmental monitoring and sanitation measures due to its comprehensive offerings and high foot traffic. This study aims to analyze the implementation of environmental sanitation in Pasar Kamboja using a descriptive research design with a qualitative approach. Data collection involves in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation, with informants selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis follows an inductive method, deriving general conclusions from specific observations. The findings indicated that several components did not meet the healthy market criteria based on Permenkes RI No. 17 Year 2020. Notable deficiencies included the absence of regular water quality testing, inadequate toilet facilities, insufficient waste processing areas, substandard drainage conditions, and the presence of vectors. Overall, the sanitation facilities at Pasar Kamboja did not comply with established healthy market standards. Recommendations include conducting regular water quality assessments, providing comprehensive toilet facilities, ensuring adequate waste disposal options, improving drainage systems, and implementing routine vector control measures to enhance sanitation quality at the market.
