KEMAMPUAN PEMODELAN MATEMATIKA SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MENGGUNAKAN KARTU PERMAINAN
This study aims to describe students' mathematical modeling skills in problem-based learning using game cards, especially on the material of linear equations of one variable. This research uses descriptive research with the research subjects as many as 17 students of class VIII-1 SMPN 2 Indralaya Utara. The data collection techniques in this study were written tests and interviews with students from each category of mathematical modeling ability that had been determined. Students' mathematical modeling ability is seen based on indicators of mathematical modeling ability. The results of this study indicate that students' mathematical modeling ability in problem-based learning using game cards is classified into the good category with a percentage achievement of 47%. Most students have met the indicators of mathematical modeling well and are able to solve problems appropriately. However, in the solution process there are still students who experience several obstacles such as difficulty understanding the problem, forming the wrong mathematical model, performing incorrect calculations, and drawing conclusions that are not correct.
