Indonesia is the country with the second-highest tuberculosis cases in the world in 2022. Meanwhile, Ogan Ilir Regency actually showed a significant increase in cases, namely from 590 cases in 2022 to 928 cases in 2023. Ventilation, temperature, humidity, lighting, wall type, floor type, and improper housing density become risk factors for pulmonary tuberculosis. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between ventilation area, temperature, humidity, lighting, wall type, floor type, and housing density with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in the productive age group (15-64 years) in the working area of Indralaya Public Health Center. This study used a case-control study design. The sample size in this study was 111 respondents, with 37 cases and 74 controls. The sampling method used in this study is simple random sampling. Data analysis used the chi-square test and multiple logistic regression test. Based on the results of the bivariate analysis, there is a significant relationship between ventilation area (p-value = 0.005), temperature (p-value = 0.008), humidity (p-value = 0.001), wall type (p-value = 0.000), floor type (p-value = 0.003), and housing density (p-value = 0.003) with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis. The multivariate analysis shows that ventilation area (p-value = 0.014; OR = 7.891; CI = 1.525 – 40.817) is the most dominant variable related to pulmonary tuberculosis incidence. It can be concluded that the physical condition of the house is generally a risk factor for pulmonary tuberculosis. Therefore, the public health center needs to reduce the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis through campaigns or education about healthy housing and tuberculosis prevention.
