PENGARUH METODE PEMBELAJARAN SIX THINGKING HATS TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MEMECAHKAN MASALAH PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN PANCASILA DI SMAN 2 INDRALAYA UTARA
This study aims to determine the effect of the Six Thinking Hats learning method on students' problem-solving skills in the Pancasila Education subject at SMAN 2 Indralaya Utara. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The population of this study consists of all 11th-grade students at SMAN 2 Indralaya Utara, totaling 74 students. The sample in this study includes class XI.3 as the control class and class XI.2 as the experimental class, comprising a total of 48 students. The sampling process in this study utilized a non-probability sampling technique of purposive sampling. Data collection techniques in this study were conducted through tests/assessments, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the Six Thinking Hats method has a significant positive effect, with the average pre-test score of the experimental class increasing from 49,99 to 65,62 in the post-test, while the control class only increased from 54,62 to 59,78. Statistical analysis through an independent sample t-test shows a significance value of 0,049 (< 0,05), indicating a significant difference between the two classes. Additionally, the effect size value of Cohen's d at -0,584 indicates a fairly strong effect of this method. Thus, the Six Thinking Hats method can be considered an effective method in helping students develop problem-solving skills in Pancasila Education learning.
