PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PUANCHI BAR TERHADAP KADAR HEMOGLOBIN REMAJA PUTRI SMA NEGERI 4 PALEMBANG
Anemia is a condition of hemoglobin levels lower than normal numbers and does not meet the physiological needs of the body, Anemia in adolescent girls can be caused by several factors, one of which is a lack of iron intake, therefore the body requires adequate iron intake which can be obtained through food sources of iron. Puanchi bar is a snack bar with the addition of local food ingredients, namely cork fish and gulo puan. The iron content of 100 grams of Puanchi bar is 2.31 mg. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Puanchi bar on hemoglobin levels of adolescent girls of SMA Negeri 4 Palembang. This study used a Quasi-Experiment design using a two group design. A total of 38 adolescent girls of SMA Negeri 4 Palembang who met the inclusion criteria were divided into intervention group 1 (n = 19) who received Puanchi bar, and treatment group 2 (n = 19) who received puanci bar intervention and blood supplement tablets (TTD). Each group was intervened for 14 days. The results showed a significant increase in hemoglobin levels in treatment group 1 (Puanchi bar) (p < 0.001). The average increase in hemoglobin levels in treatment group 1 was 4.60 g/dL. This study showed that there was no significant difference between the Hb levels of treatment group 1 and treatment group 2 after the intervention (p = 0.556), so Puanchi bars can be used as an alternative food to increase hemoglobin levels in adolescent girls.
