ANALISIS STUDI FAKTOR KEPADATAN HAULING ROAD TRAFFIC UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERCAPAIAN TARGET PRODUKSI BATUBARA DI PT BERAU COAL, BERAU, KALIMANTAN TIMUR
PT Berau Coal is a mining company in Indonesia engaged in coal exploration and sales. This research was conducted on the coal transportation route at Binungan Mine Operation Site 1, which applies an open pit mining system. After mining, the coal is sent to the processing facility at the Binungan Coal Processing Plant (CPP) before continuing to the Suaran CPP using a Scania R580-Double SST74 Side Dump Truck. The hauling path used in this transportation is the focus of the study. In the first quarter, the performance of coal transportation from Binungan to Suaran has not reached the set target. In addition, there was an increase in production from 14 million tons to 15 million tons this year. The non-achievement of the production target is influenced by various factors that affect the productivity of operational units, both at the loading and transportation stages. Based on calculations, hauling equipment is still unable to achieve the planned production target of 974,918 tons per month. Some of the factors that contribute to transportation productivity include road geometry, road width, cross slope, loading site conditions, grade, traffic density, match factor, and work efficiency. However, this research specifically focuses on the causal factors and solutions to overcome traffic congestion on coal hauling routes.
