ANALISIS HUBUNGAN TINGKAT KONTROL ASMA DENGAN KUALITAS HIDUP PASIEN ASMA DEWASA DI RS ISLAM SITI KHADIJAH PALEMBANG
Effective asthma management aims to achieve good asthma control so that patients can live their daily lives optimally and improve their quality of life. This study aims to determine the results of patient demographic data and the relationship between the level of asthma control and the quality of life of adult asthma patients at RSI Siti Khadijah Palembang. This analytic observational study used a cross sectional approach with 30 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. Patient data was collected using Asthma Control Test (ACT) and Mini Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire (Mini-AQLQ). The relationship between asthma control level and quality of life was analyzed using chi-square test. The results showed that the majority of adult asthma patients were aged 36-45 years as many as 21 patients (70,0%), female as many as 18 patients (60,0%), high school education as many as 17 patients (56,7%), not working as many as 12 patients (40,0%), patients with uncontrolled asthma had a poor quality of life (43, 4%), patients with uncontrolled asthma had good quality of life by (20,0%), patients with controlled asthma had good quality of life by (33,3%) while patients with controlled asthma had poor quality of life by (3,3%). Based on the chi-square test output p = 0,002 < α = 0,05 it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the level of asthma control and the quality of life of adult asthma patients at RSI Siti Khadijah Palembang.
