STRATEGI KOMUNIKASI KRISIS HUMAS PT PLN (PERSERO) UID S2JB DALAM PENANGANAN KASUS PADAMNYA LISTRIK SE-SUMATERA 4 JUNI 2024
On June 4, 2024, PT PLN (Persero) UID S2JB experienced a crisis caused by technical damage to the Linggau-Lahat Transmission. The purpose of this research is to understand how the implementation of crisis communication strategies was carried out by the Public Relations Department of PT PLN (Persero) UID S2JB in handling the crisis. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, analyzed using Mitroff's Five Stage Crisis Management Model, which consists of the dimensions: Signal Detection, Prevention, Containment, Recovery, and Learning. Data for this research was obtained through in-depth interviews and documentation. The research results show that at the initial stage of the crisis, the Public Relations team conducted mitigation efforts and prepared preventive measures by communicating with stakeholders. Subsequently, the Public Relations team carried out one-way communication through social media and two-way communication through press conferences with the media. In addition, the Public Relations team also made efforts to restore the company's image through positive media coverage and held Media Gatherings to strengthen relationships with local media. In the post-crisis phase, PT PLN (Persero) UID S2JB conducted evaluations through report collection and internal meetings. It can be concluded that the success of crisis communication strategies is not only determined by the speed of response but also by effective communication with stakeholders.
