KELANGSUNGAN HIDUP DAN PERTUMBUHAN BENIH IKAN NILA (Oreochromis niloticus) DENGAN PADAT TEBAR BERBEDA SELAMA PEMELIHARAAN DI SALURAN AIR DAN KOLAM TADAH HUJAN LAHAN PASANG SURUT TELANG 2 BANYUASIN
The aims of this research was to determine the survival rate and growth of nile tilapia fry during the rearing with different stocking density in tidal land drainage and rainfed pond in Bangunsari’s village, district of Tanjung Lago, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatera. The research was conducted on 26* December 2012 until 15* February 2013. The design was randomized completely block design with three treatments of stocking density 100 fishes.m'2, 200 fishes.m'2 and 300 fishes.m'2. Block research locations were secondary canal, tertiary canal and rainfed pond. Parameters observed were water quality (temperature, pH, dissolved oxigen, NH3, brightness, alkalinity Fe, salinity and plankton), the Chemical of soil (pyrite and soil pH), growth, survival rate and feed efficiency. The results showed that the stocking density treatment did not significantly affect on the survival rate, growth and feed efficiency. Secondary canal and tertiary canal can be used for tilapia farming. Treatment with growth, survival rate and feed efficiency is highest was on the stocking density 100 fishes.m-2 on block secondary canal.
