STRATEGI ADAPTASI RUMAH TANGGA PETANI PASCA ALIH FUNGSI LAHAN USAHATANI MENJADI KAWASAN INDUSTRI DI DESA GASING KABUPATEN BANYUASIN
Indonesia is an agricultural country with the majority of the population making their living as farmers. As the population increases, basic needs also increase. The conversion of farming land into an industrial area has had an impact on farmers and residents around the industrial area in Gasing Village, Banyuasin Regency. The aims of this research are (1) To find out the reasons for farmers converting farming land into industrial areas in Gasing Village, Banyuasin Regency, (2) To describe the socio-economic and environmental conditions of farmers due to the conversion of farming land into industrial areas in Gasing Village, Banyuasin Regency, (3) Knowing the resilience strategies of farmers who convert land into industrial areas in Gasing Village, Banyuasin Regency. The research method used is a survey method. The data used are primary and secondary data. The research results show that (1) The reason why farmers change the function of farming land into an industrial area in Gasing Village is to meet the costs of necessities, such as daily necessities, school fees, and so on. There are also people who sell their farming land because it is old and no longer able to manage the farming business. (2) The conversion of farming land into an industrial area has an impact on the social, economic and environmental conditions of farmers in Gasing Village. The community has hope that the presence of factories in industrial areas can have a positive impact on them. (3) The adaptation strategies carried out by farmers in dealing with the conversion of farming land into industrial areas in Gasing Village are active strategies and passive strategies.
