Erosion is the event of moving or transporting soil and soil particles from one place to another by natural media. The occurrence of erosion causes various kinds of losses such as erosion of the soil and loss of soil fertility, so it is necessary to calculate the level of danger of erosion. The erosion value is influenced by the factors such as rain erosivity, soil erodibility, slope slope, land management and conservation measures. This research location has a diversity of slopes ranging from 20% - 45% which is included in the steep slope class. The aim of this research is to determine the level of erosion hazard in the Division 5 plantation area of PT Sawit Mas Sejahtera. This research uses a detailed level survey method with a map scale of 1:6,000 using the USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) method to analyze erosion predictions and determine sampling points using the Purposive Sampling method with 3 (three) slope classes, namely 8% - 15%, 15 % - 25 %, and 25 % - 45 %, so you get 9 points. The results of this research show that the level of erosion hazard on each slope is in the steep slope class with the highest value being 1,205 tons/ha/year and the lowest value is in the gentle slope class with a value of 329 tons/ha/year. The level of danger of erosion on plantations was found to be class V with a Very Heavy (SB) classification, this shows that the actual erosion value that occurred in Division 5 of PT Sawit Mas Sejahtera was included in the very heavy category with an erosion value of >180 tonnes/ha/year, this is allowing plantations to focus on protecting and managing more intensively in these areas to reduce losses due to erosion.
