Rivers are water flows formed through the process of flowing water either from rainwater, springs or water from glaciers into open streams. Rivers have many benefits in supporting human life and organisms around them. Assessing river water quality is very important considering its many benefits. One method that can be used is to assess the Water Quality Index. The aim of this research is to determine the quality standards at each sampling point (upstream, middle and downstream) and the status of Water Quality Index of Ijo River in PT Waimusi Agroindah, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatera Province based on Regulation the Minister of Environment and Forestry Republic Indonesia Number 27 of 2021 concerning the Environmental Quality Index. This research was carried out at PT Waimusi Agroindah Sedyo Mulyo Village, Mesuji Raya District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatera Province and analysis were carried out at the Environment and Land Service Laboratory of South Sumatera Province. This research start from September to December 2023. This research was carried out using quantitative descriptive methods by comparing water quality parameters with quality standards. The results of this research show that each sampling point (upstream, middle and downstream) of Ijo River meets the Class II Maximum Concentration quality standards both in dry and rainy season and the status of Water Quality Index based on the Minister of Environment Regulations and Forestry Republic Indonesia Number 27 of 2021 concerning the Environmental Quality Index in Good category with a water quality index value of 70.00.
