KEANEKARAGAMAN ARTHROPODA PREDATOR PADA PERTANAMAN PADI ORGANIK(Oryza sativa L) DI KELURAHAN TALANG UBI UTARA, KABUPATEN PENUKAL ABAB LEMATANG ILIR, SUMATRA SELATAN
Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is an important food in the world including Indonesia, there are many ways to improve the quality of rice production including using organic cropping systems. Organic farming in controlling pest attacks utilizes natural enemies as biological agents including predatory arthropods. This study aims to determine the species of predatory arthropods and the value of the diversity index found in organic rice cultivation. The research was conducted from August to October 2024 in farmers' rice fields in Talang Ubi Utara Village, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency. Identification was carried out using the insect picture application. The research implementation includes determining the research location, preparing tools and materials, while the research implementation includes determining the observation plot, sampling predatory arthropods, identification and data analysis. This research is a direct exploration research in rice fields with rice fields divided into 5 plots. The data obtained were presented in descriptive tables and graphs on Microsoft® Excel. Based on the results of the study, predatory arthropods found amounted to 6 orders, 10 families, and 17 species. Vegetative predatory arthropod populations are high and tend to decline at the end of the generative phase. The value of the diversity index is classified as moderate (0.91), the dominance index is classified as low (0.37), and the evenness index is classified as moderate (0.67) which indicates that the organic rice plantation ecosystem is stable.
