FORMULASI BIOINSEKTISIDA PADAT DAN UJI EFIKASI PADA UMUR SIMPAN DUA BULAN TERHADAP LARVA Spodoptera frugiperda (J.E. Smith)
Spodoptera frugiperda (J.E. Smith) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) is a new type of pest that is polyphagous and detrimental to farmers. This research aimed to examine the effect of solid bioinsecticides at a shelf life of two months on the growth of S. frugiperda larvae. The method used in the application of solid bioinsecticides with a shelf life of two months 50 1st instar larvae test insects and a concentration of 1 x 1010. Preparation of solid bioinsecticides used fungal isolates of Beauveria bassiana, Metarhizium anisopliae, and Penicilium citrinum. The results showed solid bioinsecticides with a shelf life of two months was affect larvae feeding behavior, causing impaired growth and development. The highest percentage of larvae mortality was found in the JgSPK A treatment with an average of 70%. Symptoms include black, dry, small, shrunken, rigid larvae and dead larvae with the entire body covered in white mycelium. The lowest percentage of pupae emergence was found in the JgSPK A treatment with an average of 12% and the lowest percentage of imago emergence was found in the JgSPK A treatment with an average of 2.67%, so the eggs laid by female adult per treatment were less than the control. Therefore, the solid bioinsecticides formulation with two month shelf life is effective in to kill S. frugiperda larvae with the highest mortality percentage was in B. bassiana JgSPK A. Future research solid bioinsecticides with a shelf life of two months was further investigated to control S. frugiperda larvae used a longer shelf life.
