ANALISA PERFORMA PADA KOMPRESOR DAN MESIN TURBIN GAS 2015 UA/UB DI PT. KPI RU III PLAJU
Gas turbines are prime movers used to drive many more equipment such as generators, compressors, and more, using gas as fuel. In this study, the gas turbine drives a compressor that functions as a supporting machine for the production process at PT. PERTAMINA RU III PLAJU. If the gas turbine experiences damage, the compressor will encounter disruptions, causing the system to become unstable. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the performance of gas turbines and compressors to determine the performance limits required for optimal operation of both machines. This study employs a thermodynamic analysis method. The analysis begins with calculating the performance of the gas turbine and compressor, accompanied by checks to identify potential damage in both machines. For the gas turbine, the performance parameters focused on in this final project are thermal efficiency, power output, specific fuel consumption, and heat rate. After conducting tests using thermodynamic analysis, the performance degradation of the two gas turbines can be determined. The test results show that the 2015-UB gas turbine exhibits better performance than the 2015-UA gas turbine. The 2015-UB gas turbine achieved the highest thermal efficiency at 22.92%, the highest power output at 1773.32 kW, the lowest specific fuel consumption at 0.370 kgf/kWh, and the lowest heat rate at 15,700.07 kJ/kW.h.
