RANCANG BANGUN HAWT NACA 2412 SKALA MIKRO MENGGUNAKAN 3D PRINTER
In Indonesia itself, power plants still rely on energy from coal with a recorded presentation of 67.21% in 2022. New and renewable energy in the form of wind energy to become one of the environmentally friendly alternative energy sources that must be developed, for areas in Indonesia suitable for small-scale wind power plants (10 kW) to medium scale (10-100 kW) because the wind speed in Indonesia has an average of 10-3 m/s. Wind turbine is a tool needed to convert wind energy into electrical energy by utilizing kinetic energy in the wind that moves the blades on the turbine into mechanical energy then makes the shaft rotate so that the motion will drive the generator and finally stored into electrical energy. To optimize the performance of wind turbines, the NACA 2412 airfoil is used because the NACA 2412 airfoil can produce very good efficiency values compared to other types of airfoils. With the help of software in the form of Solidwork the author designs wind turbines using the NACA 2412 profile. The results of this study successfully designed and produced a wind turbine prototype using NACA 2412 airfoil with a blade length of 1 meter. The prototype is made using 3d printing technology which allows the production process to be faster, more precise, and economical. In addition, this research proves that 3d printing technology is effective in supporting innovation in the field of renewable energy, especially for making wind turbines with complex designs.
