ANALISIS WACANA KRITIS DALAM FILM “HOPE”

This study aims to explore the impact of sexual violence on the victim So-won in the film Hope using interpretive qualitative research methods and critical discourse analysis methods (Norman Fairclough). The data analysis techniques used are description, interpretation, and explanation. The findings of the study indicate that although the scenes of sexual violence are not shown explicitly, the impact is depicted in depth through the struggles of So-won and her family. The impacts of sexual violence include physical impacts (permanent physical disabilities), psychological impacts (PTSD, Suicidal Mind, Low Self-esteem) and social impacts on victims (Societal Stigma and Victim Blaming). The results of the analysis show that in the textual description dimension there is a deep meaning of the impact of sexual violence on So-won and her family in the film Hope, which can be seen in the analysis of the dialogue texts of the actors in the film. In the Interpretation dimension of discursive practices consisting of text production analysis, there are three important aspects, namely 1) Exploration of psychological and emotional impacts; 2) The role of family and closest people in victim recovery; 3) Criticism of the legal system and society, in the analysis of text distribution there are two important aspects, namely 1) Distribution of the film Hope as a social discourse; 2) The influence of distribution on public opinion, in the analysis of text consumption there are two important aspects, namely 1) Emotional and cognitive responses of the audience; 2) Public discussion and debate. Finally, in the dimension of explanation of social practices consisting of situational aspects, there are three situational aspects, namely, 1) Background of the event; 2) Setting in the film; 3) Social issues raised in the film situation, then in the Institutional aspect, there are five Institutions in the film Hope, namely, 1) Legal system; 2) Media institutions; 3) Hospital institutions; 4) Police institutions; 5) School institutions. Then in the social aspect there are three social aspects, namely, 1) Reflection of ideology and cultural values; 2) Power relations and social inequality; 3) Social impact and policy change.
