This study discusses the dynamics and impacts of the 2021 village head election conflict in Danau Belidang Village. The initial argument of this study is that the post-village head election conflict in Danau Belidang Village resulted in changes in the social structure of the community which was previously communal and homogeneous. This conflict shows that the village head election model using the principles of modern democracy does not seem to be fully understood by the people of Danau Belidang Village who still strongly adhere to the family system without paying attention to the qualifications of village head candidates. The dynamics of the conflict that occurred began with a lack of understanding and a lack of maturity in the community towards the village head election process which resulted in the dynamics and impacts of the post-village head election conflict. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study research strategy in Danau Belidang Village based on a descriptive analysis approach. This thesis is analyzed using Fisher's conflict dynamics theory and Ralf Dahrendorf's conflict impacts. Data were obtained from field data through interviews, observations, documentation and literature. Furthermore, data processing is carried out by collecting data results from both field observations and literature and then analyzing them using the theory of conflict dynamics and impacts. The results of the study found that the analysis of post-village head election conflict dynamics in Danau Belidang village is in accordance with or relevant to Fisher's conflict dynamics theory through stages in the form of pre-conflict, confrontation, crisis and post-conflict. Meanwhile, the impact of the conflict caused by the post-village head election conflict found 3 classifications, namely the impact of social interaction, the impact of social shifts due to certain interests, and the impact of divisions caused by the post-village head election conflict in Danau Belidang village. However, Fisher did not provide a concrete offer or solution to resolving post-conflict in the future. On the contrary, the research object offered a solution to review the rules in the village head election event by considering aspects of consensus and minimizing the impacts of conflict caused by the next village head election event.
