Geological processes can describe good information about the depositional environment and geological age of the research area through the texture and characteristics of the lithology that composes it. The research was conducted by focusing the discussion on the limestone of the Baturaja Formation located in Lengkiti District and its surroundings, South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency which is included in the Palembang sub-basin which is part of the South Sumatra Basin. The research was conducted to determine the environment in which this rock was formed and changed by conducting petrological and petrographic analysis. In the special study of the diagenesis of the Baturaja Formation limestone, the interpretative analytical method was used. The interpretative analytical method is a research method that is carried out by means of analysis and then the results are interpreted. Through petrographic analysis of limestone sections, reconstruction of the initial depositional environmental conditions to the present can be carried out. Research on the limestone of the Baturaja Formation in Lengkiti District and its surroundings was carried out as an effort to enrich information about the limestone of this area based on primary field data.
