EVALUASI KESUBURAN TANAH PADA TANAH ANDISOL UNTUK TANAMAN TEH (CAMELLIA SINENSIS L.) DI PTPN 7 (PERSERO) UNIT PAGAR ALAM, SUMATERA SELATAN
Soil fertility is the relationship of soil properties (physical, chemical and biological properties) that plants use to grow and develop a plant. Efforts that need to be made to increase soil productivity can be taken by improving the soil fertility status of the land. To determine soil fertility at the research site, it is necessary to analyze the chemical properties of the soil in the laboratory. The value of the results of the analysis is used to declare the soil at the study site classified as fertile or not. This research will be carried out from July 2023 to November 2023 at PTPN Tea Plantation 7 Gunung Dempo Village, Pagar Alam District, Pagar Alam City, South Sumatra Province. The method used in this study is the Detail Survey method using a map of the location of tea plantations owned by PTPN 7 Pagar Alam Unit with a scale of 1: 20,000 total area 1,522.69 hectares. From the results of research that has been carried out, soil fertility at the research location is classified as very low. The lack of soil fertility at the study site is thought to be due to the long lifespan of plants and the steep slope. Monoculture planting and continuous planting throughout the year can reduce soil fertility. Keyword: Soil fertility, soil chemical properties, tea plants.
