EVALUASI KESESUAIAN LAHAN RAWA PASANG SURUT UNTUK BUDIDAYA TANAMAN KEDELAI(Glycine max L.) DI DESA SUKATANI KECAMATAN TANJUNG LAGO
Soybeans, as one of the most widely cultivated food crops in Indonesia, have very good prospects if cultivated on tidal swamp land. This research aims to find out what the main limiting factors are in soybean farming on tidal swamp land and what land improvement efforts can be made. The research was conducted in October – November 2023 in Sukatani Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency. This research method is a detailed level survey method with the help of a base map at a scale of 1:10,000. The area that is the object of this research has an area of ± 7 ha. Soil sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling method with 3 drill points for composite soil on each hectare of land and 1 point each for observing physical properties with a sample ring. The results of this research were obtained through direct observation in the field, taking soil samples, and analysis in the laboratory. The results obtained from the actual land suitability assessment in Sukatani village were that samples 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 had actual suitability classes S3-wa, nr, na, and xs with the limiting factor of rainfall, pH, C -Organics, K2O, and pyrite depth. Meanwhile, sample 3 has an additional limiting factor in the form of S3-rc with a limiting factor in the form of texture. In S3-wa, nr, na with an area of 7 hectares after being given input for improvements by means of irrigation, liming, adding organic material, fertilizing, and regulating the water level with high level management (++) it becomes S1 (very suitable) and level management moderate (+) with micro water management settings to S2 (Quite Suitable) at the limiting factor S3-xs. In sample 3 there is an S3-rc limiting factor with a texture limiting factor that cannot be corrected. Keywords: Land Suitability, Soybean Crops, Tidal Lowland
