FENOMENA BOIKOT PRODUK YANG TERAFILIASI ISRAEL PADA MAHASISWA FISIP UNSRI
This study examines the phenomenon of boycotting Israel-affiliated products among FISIP Unsri students, focusing on the driving factors, barriers, and social-economic attachments influencing their actions. Employing a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 15 informants and other supportive sources. The findings indicate that an understanding of boycotts, brand distrust, product judgment, attitude towards boycotts, and the influence of communities such as the BDS Movement, Badan Satu Amal Indonesia, Yuk Ngaji, and WAKI FISIP Unsri serve as the primary driving factors. On the other hand, the lack of support from close social circles and difficulties in finding alternative products act as barriers. These results highlight the prominent social factors with economical reasoning are embedded to each other among FISIP Unsri students to their families, friends, communities, social media, influencers, and religious figures in shaping their stance on boycotting Israel-affiliated products.
