Recording and reporting death and birth data is one part of population administration as its parent, which is regulated in Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 24 of 2013 article 44, therefore the Palembang City Health Service has created an innovation to record and report deaths digitally. However, there are still several obstacles that influence the implementation of the mortality data system innovation. The aim of this research is to find out how digitalization of death data reporting is implemented through the mortality data system application in the Palembang city health service. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Referring to the theory created by Roggers, namely Relative Advantage, Compatibility, Complexity, Triability and Observability. The result of this research is that the implementation of the mortality data system can be said to be successful because it has run optimally and has had a significant impact so that the results of this implementation can improve the quality of health services in the city of Palembang.
