Hypertension is a condition of increased systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg or diastolic pressure ≥90 mmHg or both. Hypertension is the most common disease in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency with a percentage of 25.41%. Hypertension is a case of Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) which is included in the top 10 diseases with the highest number of patients at Celikah Health Center. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the incidence of hypertension in the Celikah Health Center Working Area. This study used a cross-sectional study design with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were people who visited the Celikah Health Center who conducted health checks at the General & Elderly Poly as many as 230 people. The sample used was the community in the Celikah Health Center Working Area who met the inclusion criteria, the desired sample was 72 respondents selected by Accidental Sampling. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate using the Chi-Square test. This study shows that the average respondent suffers from hypertension (148.86/84.43 mmHg). The results of bivariate analysis showed there was a significant influence between age variables (p-value=0.000; PR=4.040), family history variables (p-value=0.002; PR=1.5), smoking habits variables (p- value=0.005; PR=1.439) and exercise habits variables (p-value =0.026; PR=1.339). Unrelated variables in this study were gender (p-value=1.000), and education level (p-value=0.584). The conclusion is that there is a relationship between age, family history, smoking habits and exercise habits with the incidence of hypertension. Suggestions from this study are expected to activate Posbindu in early detection of NCD risk factors, and for the community, especially those suffering from hypertension, they should start changing unhealthy living habits to be healthier.
