PENERAPAN ANALISIS JALUR DALAM MENENTUKAN HUBUNGAN ANTAR VARIABEL YANG MEMPENGARUHI LOYALITAS MAHASISWA JURUSAN MATEMATIKA FMIPA UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
Loyalty is defined as fidelity, devotion, or commitment. A high level of students’loyalty can enhance the department’s reputation in the eyes of prospective students. Efforts to increase students; loyalty are crucial for maintaining the department’s competitiveness and relevance. Students’loyalty is influenced by various variables therefore, analyzing the relationships between these variables is essential in efforts to enhance it. Path analysis is a method used to examine the causal relationships between variables. The purpose of this study was to apply path analysis, determine the magnitude of direct and indirect effects, and identify the variables that have the most significant influence on students' loyalty. The variables analyzed for their impact on students' loyalty include service quality, satisfaction level, learning motivation, and achievement. The data in this study are primary data obtained from a survey conducted among active students majoring in Mathematics during the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The results showed that the variance of students’ loyalty can be explained by the variables of service quality, level of satisfaction, learning motivation and achievement by 91.2%, while the remaining percentage is explained by other variables. Students’ loyalty was directly and positively influenced by the level of satisfaction, accounting for 31.5% and by learning motivation, accounting for 43.5%. However it was directly and negatively influenced by achievement, accounting for -13.0%. Students’ loyalty was indirectly influenced by service quality through satisfaction, accounting for 21.7%, as well as through satisfaction and learning motivation, accounting for 14.7%. Students’ loyalty was also indirectly influenced by the level of satisfaction through learning motivation, accounting for 17.1%. The variable that had greatest influence on students’ loyalty was the level of satisfaction, accounting for 46.8%.
