UJI POTENSI HEMOSTASIS EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN KECAPI (SANDORICUM KOETJAPE (BURM.F.MERR.) TERHADAP MENCIT JANTAN (MUS MUSCULUS)
Kecapi (Sandoricum koetjape) leaves contain flavonoids, tannins, and saponins that have potential as hemostatic agents. This study aims to determine the effect of ethanol extract of kecapi leaves on bleeding time and clotting time in mice (Mus musculus) and its effective dose. This study was divided into 5 groups, namely negative control (NaCMC 1%), positive control (tranexamic acid), and extracts with doses of 100 mg/kgBB, 200 mg/kgBB, and 300 mg/kgBB. This study observed blood stopping time with the duke method and blood clotting time with the slide method. The results showed that the extract could accelerate hemostasis time significantly (p < 0.05), with a dose of 200 mg/kgBB showing effectiveness close to the positive control. The hemostasis mechanism of this extract is thought to be related to platelet activation by flavonoids, as well as tannins and saponins which act as vasoconstrictors and blood protein binders. This study suggests that ethanol extract of kecapi leaves has potential as a natural hemostatic agent.
