ANALISIS PRODUKTIVITAS TENAGA KERJA DAN DAYA SAING INDUSTRI PENGOLAHAN TEMBAKAU INDONESIA
The tobacco processing industry have an important role in the Indonesian economy, both in terms of contributing to state revenue through excise taxes and in creating jobs. This study aims to analyze labor productivity and the competitiveness of Indonesia's tobacco processing industry in the international market. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis techniques and the calculation of Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) to measure competitiveness. The data used is sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and UN-Comtrade for the period 2016-2022. The results showed that labor productivity of the tobacco processing industry in Indonesia experienced an increasing trend despite fluctuations in certain years. In terms of competitiveness, the RCA calculation shows that Indonesia has a competitiveness of 1,0224. However, Indonesia's competitiveness is still lower than India, which has an RCA value of 2,0680. The relationship between labor productivity and competitiveness has a strong negative correlation with a correlation coefficient or r_yx of -0.673267.
