PERAN SELF-COMPASSION TERHADAP SENSE OF COHERENCE PADA FATHERLESS DAUGHTERS
This research aims to determine the role of self-compassion on sense of coherence among fatherless daughters. The hypothesis in this research is that there is a role of self-compassion on sense of coherence. This research was conducted using quantitative methods with a sample size of 305 fatherless daughters who are currently aged between 18 and 40 years and have lost their biological father due to death or divorce or are still alive and not divorced at the age of between 2 and 13 years. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The measuring instruments used are the sense of coherence scale which refers to the sense of coherence aspect of Antonovsky (1987) and the self-compassion scale which refers to the self-compassion aspect of Neff (2016). Data analysis in this research was carried out using multiple regression techniques. The results of the analysis show that the R square self-compassion value for sense of coherence is 0.572, the F value is 134.043 and the significance value is 0.000 (p < 0.05). This shows that self-compassion has a significant role in the sense of coherence, thus the hypothesis proposed in this research can be accepted.
