The research objectives are to (1) Analyze the effect of the increase in rice prices on the proportion of household rice consumption expenditure in total food consumption expenditure before and after the increase in rice prices in Tegal Rejo Village, Lawang Kidul District, Muara Enim Regency, (2) Analyze the effect of the increase in rice prices on the amount of rice consumed by households in the village, (3) Analyze the effect of the increase in rice prices on the quality of rice consumed by households in the village. This research was carried out in Tegal Rejo Village, Lawang Kidul District, Muara Enim Regency. The method used is a survey method using disproportionate stratified random sampling. The number of samples is 40 from workers, state-owned/private sector workers, civil servants and traders, 10 samples each. The results of this study show that: (1) The proportion of household rice consumption expenditure in total food consumption expenditure experienced a change in the proportion before and after the rice price increase in household workers (low), BUMN/Private (high), civil servants (high) and traders (medium) ) The effect of increasing rice prices on rice quality in this study is that it has no effect on worker households (low), state-owned/private sector (high), civil servants (high) and traders (medium).
