The aim of this study was to determine the effect of a mixture of Sugarcane bagasse and Chicken manure as a planting media on Red Lettuce plants (Lactuca sativa var. Red Rapids). This research was conducted at the Agrotech Training Center (ATC) of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra with coordinates -3.2226014, 104.6468564. This research was conducted from September 2023 to November 2023. The design used in this study used the Randomized Group Design consisting of 9 levels of treatment and 3 replicates and each replicate consisted of 3 plants, so there were 81 plants. The treatments in this study were Soil : Sugarcane bagasse : Chicken manure P0 = Control (without Sugarcane bagasse and Chicken manure), P1 = 3 : 0.5: 0.5, P2 = 3 : 1: 0.5, P3 = 3 : 1.5: 0.5, P4 = 3 : 0.5: 1, P5 = 3 : 1 : 1, P6 = 3 : 1.5 : 1, P7= 3 : 0 : 1.5 and P8 = 3 : 1.5: 0. The observed variables include plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, canopy width, root length, leaf chlorophyll content, harvest age, fresh weight and dry weight of plants. Based on the results showed that the mixture of Sugarcane bagasse planting media and Chicken manure that gave the best results was the composition of 0.5 : 1 (P4) with a total fresh weight of 190.91 g/plant. From this study it was also known that the effect of chicken manure was better than the effect of Sugarcane bagasse on the growth of Red Lettuce plants.
