KRITIK SOSIAL DALAM NOVEL TERUSLAH BODOH JANGAN PINTAR KARYA TERE LIYE DAN IMPLIKASINYA TERHADAP PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA DAN SASTRA INDONESIA
This study aims to describe social issues and forms of criticism conveyed in the novel Teruslah Bodoh Jangan Pintar by Tere Liye, as well as their implications for teaching Indonesian Language and Literature in high schools. The approach used in this research is the sociology of literature. The research data consist of dialogues and monologues sourced from the novel Teruslah Bodoh Jangan Pintar by Tere Liye. The method employed in this study is qualitative descriptive. The steps for data analysis are as follows: (1) Identifying data on the manifestations of social criticism, (2) Categorizing the data, (3) Analyzing the data, and (4) Drawing conclusions from the analysis. Based on the analysis, 81 instances of social criticism were identified, including 33 cases related to crime, 27 to bureaucracy issues, 7 to family disorganization, 8 to poverty, and 6 to environmental problems. The findings of this study can be utilized in teaching Indonesian language for Phase F, Grade XI of the independent curriculum. The lesson material focuses on analyzing social themes in fictional prose texts. Keywords: Social Criticism, Social Issues, Novel Teruslah Bodoh Jangan Pintar
