This study aims to develop an e-module based on the Flipbook application for writing descriptive texts based on local culture for 11th-grade students at SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang. This study follows the development research model by Alessi and Trollip, which consists of three stages: planning, design, and development. Qualitative data in this study were collected through interview techniques, while quantitative data were collected through questionnaires distributed to Indonesian language teachers and 11th-grade students at SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang. In the planning stage, the researcher conducted a needs analysis involving teachers and students. The results of interviews and needs analysis showed that teaching materials in the form of an e-module integrating digital technology are highly needed. The design stage produced flowcharts and storyboards, along with the collection of learning materials and the preparation of the Learning Implementation Plan. The development stage resulted in a product display that was assessed for feasibility by experts. Overall, the e-module for writing descriptive texts using the web-based Flipbook application obtained an average percentage of 93.14%, with a score of 83.07% from material experts, 80% from language experts, and 88% from media experts. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the product is valid/feasible and can be used by students and teachers after the final product revision process. Thus, this e-module is expected to be an effective, interactive, and innovative alternative learning medium to support learning to write descriptive texts based on Local Culture in the 11th grade at SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang.
