PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN TEPUNG LARVA TENEBRIO MOLITOR TERHADAP EFISIENSI PAKAN KOMERSIAL DAN PERTUMBUHAN IKAN NILA (OREOCHROMIS NILOTICUS) Manurung,
Nila fish (Oreochromis niloticus) is one type of freshwater fish, which has a high level of adaptation to the environment, and is known to be rich in nutrients that are good for the human body. There are obstacles in the process of growth and cultivation of tilapia starting from the low survival rate of seeds, as well as the lack of fulfillment of seed nutrition obtained through commercial feed. Therefore, it is necessary to add Tenebrio molitor larvae, commonly known as Hongkong caterpillars, to fulfill the nutritional needs required for nila fish growth. Hongkong caterpillars have a protein content of 40% and are rich in unsaturated fats that can increase growth in the fish hatchery process. This study used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 4 repetitions. These treatments included control treatment, 75% commercial feed + 25% Tenebrio molitor flour, 50% commercial feed + 50% Tenebrio molitor flour, and 25% commercial feed + 75% Tenebrio molitor flour. Observation parameters included absolute length and weight gain, feed efficiency, specific growth rate, survival, and water quality. Analyzed using ANOVA and BNT further test on SPSS. The results showed that each additional provision of Hong Kong caterpillar flour had a significant effect on each observation variable, indicating that there was a good response to the provision of a mixture of Tenebrio molitor larval flour on commercial feed. In treatment 2 showed the best mixed treatment on nila fish growth in each observation variable.
