One of the effort to minimise patient dropout, DR-TB patients receive assistance from patient supporters. This study aims to analyse the implementation of health promotion strategies in the form of social support by the Palembang MSS community through patient supporters in patient assistance. The type of research used is qualitative research and uses a descriptive approach bY conducting in-depth interviews. The informants in this study were divided into main informants, namely 4 patient support people and key informants, namely 1 TB technical officer from the Palembang City Health Office, 1 TB case manager from the MSS community and 4 DR-TB patients. Data analysis was based on the Miles and Huberman analysis model. Emotional support is shown by caring, attention, positive appreciation, and motivation as a form of approach with patients. Instrumental support is carried out with the help of actions and services to help patients who have limited movement and time. Informational support is provided with direction and advice to increase patient understanding of their illness. Companion support is in the form of the willingness of time from patient supporters to be contacted whenever the patient needs it. The implementation of social support through patient supporters is carried out through emotional support, instrumental support, informational support, and companion support. Suggestions that can be given based on the research conducted are that patient supporters can increase in number so that they can embrace all DR-TB patients.
