EVALUASI KESESUAIAN LAHAN UNTUK TANAMAN JERUK KEPROK (CITRUS RETICULATA) DI KEBUN TAMAN FIRDAUS UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
Land evaluation has a very important role in the process of assessing land for certain uses, because land evaluation is one of the ways that must be done so that the land use plans can be structured well. This research aims to evaluate a class of actual and potential land suitability for citrus plants in the Taman Firdaus garden of Sriwijaya University. The research metho where a survey method where a survey is carried out directly in the field. The research was carried out in four stage, namely preparation, field activities, laboratory activities and data processing. Data analysis was carried out by matching each land characteristic with the requirements of the tangerine plants. The results of this research indicate that the suitability of land for tangrine plants is include in the S1 category (very suitable) but the limiting factor on this 6 ha area is that the K2O and pH values obtained are included in the S3 (Not Suitable) category. K2O and pH elements must be given improvements according to the recommendations for KCL fertilizer with an average of 0.313 kg/plant and orange with an average of 7.4 kg/plant to meet the Land Suitability Class standards published by CSR/FAO (1983).
